Since 1912 and over four generations, Boni produces handmade Parmigiano Reggiano.
With more than 2.000 cows, our own farm supplies 30% of the milk that gets to our cheese factories.
We guarantee a strict quality control on the whole production process, from the breeding of our cows to the sale of the products, to offer the best quality of products.
In Boni’s plants (80.000 covered square meters with nearly 100 employees) the milk is processed and transformed into approximately 350 cheeses daily (more than 125.000 wheels per year).
Our cheese is sent across Italy and to the rest of the world, for a global sale that reaches 19.000 tons each year.
The maturation goes on in our seasoning rooms, where more than 500.000 wheels are aged each year.
Boni Inc has in its seasoning warehouses also a wide range of PDO Grana Padano productions coming from a group of cheese factories of the provinces of Lodi, Piacenza, Mantova, Cremona, Brescia and Verona.
These are cheese factories whose competence and quality standards are guaranteed and proved in many years of collaboration, so we're also able to meet both all Italian and international customers needs thanks to our wide range of Grana Padano, which is rich in terms of quantity, qualities and seasoning levels.
Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano are packaged in Boni’s plants in Bezze di Torrile (PR) and Casalmaggiore (CR).
Cheeses with different seasoning levels are cut into wedges of different size and weight and vacuum-packed (destined to both domestic consumption and catering service) or into small cubes, shavings, fresh grated and spreadable creams, and then packed in trays or bags under a protective atmosphere.
The packaging departments are certified according to the ECC directions, and since they undergo periodical control by the sanitary authorities and the external Quality Certification Agencies, they guarantee the maximum security of both working process and packaging.
With more than 19.000 tons sold each year, Boni Inc. gained a leading role within the Italian hard cheeses sector.
That means a constant presence in the outlets of the main Italian and international large-scale retail trade Firms.
As per a continuous export growth, the Boni cheese reached the main markets all over the world, with a presence in 30 countries, where Parmigiano Reggiano is known and appreciated as “The King of Cheeses”.
That is possible thanks to the production and organizational skills of Boni Inc., recognized and accredited by the European largescale retail trade groups certification bodies, as BRCGS and IFS.
