Valcolatte is a family business. It all begins in 1914 with Enzo and Cesira Panizzi who started up a dairy. In 1988 Enzo Panizzi (grandson of first Enzo) and his wife Liliana Villa took over the company. During the 90’s they focused production on mozzarella and ricotta and after a few years, their daughters Valentina and Martina joined the company. Nowadays Valentina is Sales Manager and Martina is Technical Manager. Valcolatte is now leader in Italy for mozzarella per pizza. Our mission has always been producing cheese starting from Italian milk. Since the beginning of its story, Valcolatte has worked with stables located in the nearby area, the “Pianura Padana”, home of the best milk in Italy used for producing Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano. We became leader because we decided to choose quality over price, this way we managed to communicate our values to the market and our commitment for a premium quality produce, made just with controlled and certified raw materials.
