Since 1881, Vergani is manufacturing typical Italian confectionery specialties such as torrone (nougat candy made with almonds, hazelnuts, sugar, honey and egg white) and mostarda (candied fruit in mustard syrup), for which the brand is definitely among leading ones in Italy.
More recently, a new production line has been established to offer an exclusive chocolate pralines assortment to our customers, a “key” range for the export development.
Our premises are now located in Cremona (about 80 km in the south of Milan), and cover a surface of about 50.000 sq.m. (13.200 covered surface).
Since September 2006, a new management has been running Vergani SpA, as the company was acquired by Lameri Cereals, a leading group in cereals and corn flakes manufacturing. Thanks to this important event, significant changes are occurring toward a further innovation and growth of the Company.
Our main target is to offer a wider and wider range of products, being the result of special recipe studies, products made with first quality materials and eye-catching packaging.
The management is continuously investing in research and equipments to offer special products in our range of:
• ‘Torrone’: nougat candies and bars, with almonds and hazelnuts, also with chocolate coating.
• ‘Chocolate Pralines’: a wide selection of bags and gift boxes of pure chocolate pralines and cream filled eggs, with crunchy fillings, liqueur creams, single origin cocoa ingredients.
• ‘Mostarda’ Spicy Fruit Chutneys: candied fruit in pieces or fruit spread, delicately spiced mustard syrup, a tasty combination for cheese, meat, cutters, salads. .
• ‘Marrons Glacés: gorgeous chestnuts (marrons), big and tasty variety, glazed with a thin sugar coating.
