COLLINE MONTEPULCIANO d'Abruzzo DOC
Montepulciano is one of the most broadly cultivated grapes in Italy: its area of growing runs for about 500 km from Marche region to Apulia, from the Adriatic coast of up to the Appenines mountains.
This grape gives the name also to the most important appellation of Abruzzo region: the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC.
This grape has a thicker skin and high level of sugars, it usually needs longer time to ripen, often after mid-October.
