Antico vitigno autoctono. E’ il rosso novità dell’Irpinia. Grappolo di media grandezza e allungato. Acino mediamente piccolo con forma ellittica. Si ottiene un eccellente vino da pasto, molto colorato e di un rosso rubino intenso, con spuma rossa, e una spiccata freschezza. Viene utilizzato in svaghi con Aglianico e Piedirosso. E’ un vino da bere giovane
