COLLINE ANFORA, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Class.
The “Amphora” shaped bottle is traditional for the Verdicchio, chosen in a 1956 competition with the aim to convey the idea of the Greek origin of the town of Ancona, where the Appellation of the Verdicchio is located.
At Casalfarneto all Verdicchio vineyards are grown to produce low yield in order to qualify for the Riserva appellation parameters (below 10 tons/hectar).
Only after the sensorial and chemical analysis of the different masses of wine we decide if a specific one will qualify for the Riserva level or for the Superiore level. The remaining part is then classified just as Classico.
