Contarini Vini e Spumanti was established in 1957 by the will and determination of its founder, “Mr.Dino”Tombacco. During the years of reconstruction and economic boom, Mr.Dino smartly invested in the fundamental item of this fertile land, which arises and sinks its deep roots to the city of Conegliano, the hearT of Prosecco Superiore DOCG wine area.
To unveil the origins of the company, it is essential to go back in time to 1600, when the wine making tradition of Marca Trevigiana and the hills of Conegliano was already active and highly consolidated.
That is the reason why at the end on the twentieth century, Tombacco family founded Contarini Vini e Spumanti and dedicated its most qualified production to the podestà Zaccaria Contarini, illustrious character of his time, awell-known wine connoisseur and an admirer of Conegliano’s charming places. Despite a name and a history that bind it inextricably to the past, today the Contarini company boasts a young, dynamic and modern identity.
